Choosing the right hay for your hamsters
Hay is perfect to include in Hamsters’ diets; it allows for stimulation and making sure those little gnashers don’t get too long! Though hamsters do not require much hay in their diet, the fibre is very good for their digestive tracts and is great for maintaining healthy teeth. For fussy hamsters, Timothy hay and Alfalfa (recommended for babies or hamsters that need a boost in energy) are tasty favourites to gnaw on. Hamsters love to burrow into hay, as they would if they were out in the wild.
