Ever since launching The Hay Shed in January 2024, we have wanted to create an easy way for charities and rescue centres to get access to our home-grown hay for the pets in their care. We are delighted to finally launch our brand new rescue centre initiative, with two schemes that allow their supporters to donate hay to such deserving causes.
Our first scheme is the Rescue Centre Store Credit Initiative. Once signed up, rescue centres can share their unique code with their supporters. When the supporters are making a purchase on The Hay Shed website, they simply need to enter this code at checkout for the rescue centre to receive 8% of the order value as store credit! This will allow the rescue centres to buy hay and treats with their store credit, which means their funding can be used in other ways to cover costs for the pet’s care.
The second scheme is the Hay Donation Box. We are accepting a small number of charities at a time for hay box donation drives through this initiative. It will allow their supporters to pay for a box of hay, and then we will send it directly to the rescue centre with next-day delivery. Many charities and rescue centres have a large number of pets in their care, and they go through a massive volume of hay each day. This initiative should provide high-quality, home-grown hay, which helps the pets get back to their best health.
