The blend offers a boost of essential nutrients that support growth and recovery. This hay-and-topping combination is ideal for pets up to 7 months old, pregnant or nursing pets, or older animals needing extra nourishment.

Consult a vet if you are looking for guidance about the best treat to meet your pet’s unique requirements.

Nutritious and Delicious Alfalfa with Chamomile & Dandelion

Just like us humans, small pets require different nutrients throughout their life stages. Alfalfa is packed full of essential proteins for growing or underweight small pets. This makes it perfect for pets up to 7 months, pregnant/feeding small pets, or older animals due to its fantastic protein and calcium levels.

We recommend speaking to your vet before feeding your pet large amounts of Alfalfa as its high calcium and protein levels which can be fattening or cause issues to healthy adult pets if they are fed too much.

The addition of our premium Superfood hay topper offer added health benefits, including supporting the healthy function of your small pet’s immune system.

All of our delicious hay has been dust extracted to ensure it is of the highest quality and prevent upset to your animals. If you need further information on the ideal diet and volume of hay to feed your small pet, take a look at our Feeding Guide for your small pet.

What Makes the Hay Shed So Good?

Barn dried

Our state-of-the-art drying system allows us to control the hay moisture content and drying process. This allows us to remove the moisture while retaining the vital nutrients, sweet taste and green colour.

dust extracted

Your fluffy friends have delicate respiratory systems which can be harmed easily by dust, so we make sure to remove it from our hay through a mechanical packing system before it is sent direct to your door.

Muesli-free

Did you know muesli can cause issues for those little teeth and tummies? Rest assured that you will find no muesli in our products.

Eco-friendly packaging

Our packing boxes are made from recyclable cardboard for easy and planet friendly disposal. Sustainability is at the heart of The Hay Shed, find out more here (link).

Home-grown in the UK

We grow, mow, dry and pack our hay on our farm located in Northumberland. We take great pride in controlling every stage of production to ensure our hay is of the best quality.

What our customers are saying

Maryna Dorosh

The best hay I've ever bought. I've tried many hay companies over the years for my guinea pigs, and this one is truly the best. I highly recommend it!

Auguste Matulaite

Wow, what an amazing quality of hay! It is so green and so lush. The variety to choose from is fabulous and the quality of each hay is just outstanding. Especially meadow hay - I have never seen meadow hay as amazing quality as this, the strands are so long and clearly so delicious for the bunnies as they have been enjoying it so much since they first tried it.

Lizzy

Really good quality hay, I know it’s important for her teeth to have good hay to munch on so I’m really pleased - my bunny loves it too! Much better quality and cheaper than the Timothy Hay you can buy in stores. Also bought dried dandelions and a forage mix - she loves them both!

Sophie

Always had impeccable service, is posted right away, arrives in great time, and is fantastic quality. I will never, ever, shop anywhere else for hay!
